Mani Bhasin Kalra is presently working as a Professor at the Department of Education at Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, India where she teaches the BEd Programme. She joined Lady Irwin College as an Assistant Professor in January 1995.
With a vast experience in teaching and research in the area of Teacher Education, her research interest areas comprise Teacher Thinking and Teacher Beliefs, Issues in Elementary Education with a special focus on Issues of Equity and Diversity.
She has been actively involved in extensive field work in rural and remote areas and urban slums and has been involved in various UNICEF, World Bank sponsored projects, programmes and outreach events that support the community and promote learning.
She is an Advisor, writer, resource person and a consultant for developing educational resource material for Nutrition Education and for the preservice and Inservice teacher preparation programmes and also for the students of the open learning system at the NIOS and IGNOU.
Professor Bhasin has published widely in national and international journals and co-edited various research compilations. Her book with Viva, 'Diversity: Reflections and Insights' in the year 2017 has been very well received nationally and internationally.
